I will be paying Aerodrama $50 leaving $330 to go to charity. Make a suggestion in the comments and I'll add it here.SUGGESTIONS:give it to Angie (past nocturnity DJ) to go towards her not-for-proffit cat rescue which she runs out of her cat themed shop "Pussies Galore" in Paddington. It helps wee kitties get new loving homes rather than be put down, it's run by one of our own and it is most definitely a worthy charity.Angie and the various foster carers are often up every two hours feeding kittens. They vaccinate, feed, de-sex, worm and vet check all their rescues and do it all out of selfless love. They don't have church/corperate sponsorship or grants in place to do what they do. Find a not for profit charity that supports homeless people eg: Rosie's Van.I'll be tallying votes via comments for the next two weeks to give people a chance to respond.PLEASE NOTE: ONLY VOTE IF YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CLUB OTHER THAN ATTENDING!!!
Thank-you! That would be wonderful! Let me know! :) *hugs*
it's been two weeks now! If you like I can transfer the money or drop it in to you on the weekend along with the cat food.
Come for a visit, pat a cat :)
Wow. That would be absolutely fantastic. sesq, cat fosterer for Angie(occasionally up every two hours mopping the floor. feeding's not so bad, it's the kitty diarrhoea stinkbombs that give me the Ph3AR!)P.S. Angie's cat rescue also desexes the cats, which is a really important step towards sustainable living.
I vote for the cat rescue charity.
KITTIES! Yes!Yes yes yes yes yes definitely kitties.
OK, here I go against the grain.I think we should donate it to a non-religious, not for profit charity that works with the homeless.Or a good religious charity that doesn't push their religion whilst providing charity (Catholic charities seem very good at not pushing the religion whilst providing help to those who need it. catdraco was working with the Rosies van - she might have knowledge of who/how to donate).
*nods* everyone has their preferred charity, one of the reasons I picked Angie's is because they don't have church/corperate sponsorship or grants in place to do what they do.
Angie,As you are one of the charities set to get the money, it is inappropriate for you to debate with other community members. If others want to debate, that is fine. But when it comes from someone who stands to get the funds in a forum where others who stand to get the funds cannot debate their case, it is inappropriate. For this reason, previous responses will be deleted. And any comments going against this request will also be deleted. Please respect this decision.Thank you for your understanding,The Moderator.
What do you think about me making this into a snappy little poll? People are generally too lazy to comment, but voting in polls is fun! :PI'd make it friends only, so only members could vote.Yay/nay?
nah, not much point. People can just as easily comment as have to write out their suggestion in a poll. I don't want it to be friends only as some people who have taken this journal off the friends list may want to have a say.
YAY YOU IS UP!Want me to call you yo?
